Andrographis is an ancient medicinal herb with an extensive history in Asia. It has been used for centuries to treat upper respiratory infections, fever, herpes, sore throat, and a variety of other chronic and infectious diseases. In Scandinavian countries, it is commonly used to prevent and treat the common cold. There have been conclusive studies of its use against a variety of bacterial and viral diseases.
Known as the ‘King of Bitters’, this herb has a long history of use in India and China. It is used to combat infections (bacterial, viral and parasitic), support immune function and lower fevers. It is commonly used for colds, flu’s, respiratory and gastrointestinal infections and to expel parasites. It is a bitter digestive tonic that also supports gallbladder function and protects the liver. Avoid when pregnant or breastfeeding.
Preparation
Add .5 g, or, 1/8 teaspoon, to a little juice or water, stir and scull down. Can be encapsulated in vegetable gelatin capsules.
