Known for its purifying qualities, the very powerful Bark Essential Oil is traditionally recommended to fight against warts. and stimulating, with a fine, warm and sweet smell, bark essential oil is also used to compose perfumes.

has been one of the spices exported from the East for 4000 years. Renowned for its fortifying and purifying virtues, its presence is mentioned in the traditional Chinese pharmacopoeia written 2700 years ago. In the Bible, we also find as a component of the “sacred balm”. Since then, it has been a “must” and, according to the Taoists, it is said to help people find immortality. Its numerous anti-infectious properties (bacteria, viruses, , fungi) make this essential oil an essential part of the traveller’s first aid kit. From an energetic point of view, the essential oil of is extremely powerful. Of “Yang” nature, it stimulates the nerve centers and warms the body. Precautions Dermocaustic, do not apply undiluted to the skin. To be used strongly diluted in your preparations for cutaneous use. Caution on sensitive or allergic skins. Do not use in people allergic to cinnamon.
Do not use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding, or for children.
Internal use to be limited to short treatments with limited doses. No prolonged use without therapeutic advice.
The atmospheric diffusion of essential oil of Cinnamon alone is not recommended because, highly concentrated in cinnamaldehyde, it can cause irritation of the respiratory tract. For the diffusion, we advise you to use it up to 5-10% maximum, mixed with milder essential oils (Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit …).
Not recommended for people taking anticoagulant drugs or having coagulation disorders.
Keep out of reach of children.
Some natural compounds contained in this essential oil may present a risk of allergy in some sensitive people when the essential oil is incorporated into a cosmetic composition: cinnamaldehyde, linalool, eugenol, benzyl benzoate, limonene, alcohol (E) cinnamyl.
As a general rule, always make an application test of your preparation, in the crease of the elbow, at least 48 hours before using it.

Precautions for use and proper use of essential oils

  • Use essential oils with moderation and care. Essential oils are very powerful.
  • Essential oils should not be applied to the eyes, the eye contour or in the ears. In case of contact, apply a neutral vegetable oil and rinse with water. Consult a doctor quickly. Essential oils must be diluted for application to mucous membranes.
  • Always keep essential oils out of reach and out of sight of children. For their safety, never remove the dropper cap from the bottles of essential oils.
  • Some oils can be irritating or particularly sensitizing. The majority of essential oils are used diluted in a vegetable oil on the skin. We recommend that you always carry out a skin tolerance test in the crease of the elbow for at least 48 hours before any use on the skin, either pure or diluted. If you observe a reaction (redness, irritation, tingling, etc.), do not use the mixture.
  • The essential oils of Angelica, Bergamot, Celery, Lemon, Lime, Khella, Lovage, Tangerine, Orange, Blood Orange, Grapefruit, Tagetes, Fragrant Verbena and the oily macerate of St John’s Wort can be photosensitive. After using these oils, do not expose yourself to the sun or UV rays for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Some essential oils can be irritating, particularly sensitizing, or can be toxic in large doses or over the long term: Yarrow, Garlic, Ajowan, Bitter Almond, Dill, Green Anise, Tulsi (Holy Basil), Tropical Basil, Copahu Balm, Bay St Thomas, Yellow Birch, Cinnamon (bark and leaf), Chinese Cinnamon, Caraway, Cedarwood, Cumin, Turmeric, Cypress, Tarragon, Eucalyptus Blue Mallee, Eucalyptus Blue Gum, Eucalyptus Peppermint Gum, Sweet fennel, Wintergreen, Clove (nail and leaf), Italian Helichrysum, Scented inula, Khella, Lantana, Laurel, Lemongrass, Lentisque pistachio, Lemon slime, Lovage, Magnolia, Lemon balm, Spearmint, St. John’s wort, Nutmeg, Oregano, Parsley, Pine, Rosemary, Damask Rose, Balsam Fir, Pectinated Fir, Mountain Savory, Snakeberry, Tagetes, Annual Tansy, Turpentine, Thyme, Scented Verbena, Ylang Ylang.

  • In general, we do not recommend the use of essential oils for pregnant or breastfeeding women, epileptics, hypersensitive people or people with hormone-dependent cancer, and more generally those with health problems. Unless medical advice is given, do not use essential oils for babies and children under 3 years of age. For children over the age of 3, use them only under medical supervision.
  • Injections of essential oils are strictly forbidden.
  • In case of respiratory allergies or asthma, avoid inhaling directly from essential oil diffusers.
  • Do not combine essential oils and medicinal treatments without medical advice.
  • Consult a doctor for any therapeutic indication or oral treatment. Essential oils must be diluted on a carrier such as edible oil, honey, sugar or neutral tablet for oral use.
  • In case of accidental ingestion, rinse the mouth with edible vegetable oil. Immediately contact an anti-poison centre and consult a doctor. Do not induce vomiting. If possible, swallow 1 or 2 spoonfuls of edible vegetable oil to dilute the essential oil.
  • If you have any doubts or queries, do not hesitate to ask your doctor for advice.

If a receiver is not home, Australia Post may decide to leave the parcel in a safe place, unless a signature is required.

It’s important to us that every parcel completes its journey safe and sound, but we cannot be held responsible for a parcel returned to us, or lost when marked as delivered in a safe place by Australia Post. 

Sendle

If a receiver is not home to sign for a parcel, Sendle will attempt to redeliver the item for free. If the parcel cannot be delivered again, it may be left at one of 1’400 local collection points. Collection points may include newsagents or service stations. It’s important to us that every parcel completes its Sendle journey safe and sound, but we appreciate that some locations may not have nearby collection points to make this possible. If this is the case, Sendle may opt to have these parcels returned to the sender. We cannot be held responsible for a parcel returned to us. 

 

Please choose carefully as we can not accept returns, nor refund or exchange for change of mind.

Return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility unless we have made a mistake with your order.

If you received the wrong products we will make it up to you as soon as we can. Please take pictures of your parcel as soon as you receive it. 48 hours after delivery we will consider that your order has arrived safely and cannot be held responsible for missing products.

If any item received is damaged, please contact us via email within 48 hours of delivery. Beyond this, we or the freight contractors cannot be held liable for damages.

In an unlikely event that your items arrive damaged, please email us with your full name, description of item that was damaged and images of the damaged goods as received in its box within 48 hours of delivery. We will lodge an insurance claim on your behalf and will send a replacement out or give you a refund as soon as possible.

We will not acknowledge any messages or images sent to any of our social media messaging tools as all correspondence and images have to be sent to our email address. Without pictures, we cannot lodge an insurance claim on your behalf and therefore cannot offer you a replacement nor be held liable for damages.

Please report the missing parcel to either Australia Post or Sendle depending on the courier that was used for your parcel. The tracking information is on your order confirmation email and you should have received tracking updates by emails directly from the courier. You will need to quote your tracking number in order to report a missing parcel.

Sendle will launch an investigation that should last about a week. During this time, unfortunately, we can not intervene. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, we may decide to send a replacement if the parcel is considered lost. Most parcels are recovered and delivered during this time though. 

Please be aware that if you gave authority to leave your parcel unattended, you waved any rights to a replacement or refund. Neither us nor the courier can be held liable for the loss of the parcel.

When you order a product on backorder, this means that we currently do not have the product in stock. We will endeavour to get it from our supplier as fast as possible. This will usually take a week, but can take up to 3–4 weeks.

Please bear in mind that herbs are seasonal, we cannot force nature. Therefore there may be a possibility that your product will not be available for some time. Refunds for backorders will only be issued if we are unable to supply the goods within 45 days.

Backorder is what is sometimes called display to order (ODO).

Most of our herbs and powders can be available in Bulk, usually in 250g, 500g or 1kg bags.

If you would like to order some herbs in Bulk, please contact us and we will get back to you with pricing and availability within a day or two.

Herbs are seasonal, so sometimes our suppliers can be out of stock for a while. That’s why we’d rather take your bulk order manually, so that we can make sure that we can fulfil it.

It usually takes between 2 to 4 weeks for a bulk order to be shipped out.
