Liquorice Root
An astonishing number of Chinese herbal formulas (over 5000) use liquorice root to sweeten teas and ‘harmonize’ contrasting herbs. Licorice root is one of the most widely used herbs today. Native to southeast Europe and southwest Asia.
Preparation
1/2 – 1 tsp per cup. Simmer 10 minutes. Drink 3 times daily, or simply chew on a piece.
