Mango Myrtle® essential oil is another of Australia’s newest essential oils, another world’s first. Mango Myrtle® smells like a beautiful fresh, fragrant, juicy green mango, almost identical to crushed green mango leaves. It’s an extremely uplifting, calming, fruity, refreshing and inspiring tropical ‘summer’ aroma. This is not a blend, it’s a brand new, entirely unique essential oil, pioneered by Essentially Australia, grown on our Byron hinterland plantation. Mango Myrtle® will instantly uplift & freshen a home or room and it appeals to both men and women, and children.

Ingredients: 100% v/v pure Mango Myrtle® essential oil.

Aroma

An uplifting fruity/lemony aroma, sweet yet refreshing, juicy and mouth-watering, yet not too sweet. It’s got a clear ‘zing’ or ‘zest’ too it. It’s a very fragrant, tropical fruit scented oil.

Benefits

Mango Myrtle® instantly refreshes and uplifts, a little bit like Lemon Myrtle, but with a distinct tropical fruit aroma, evoking a sense of summer. It can assist concentration, may works as an anti-depressive, and it helps remove bad room smells and bad energy. It’s also very suitable for use in cosmetics and fine perfumery.

Uses

Add a couple of drops to a diffuser, oil burner, air purifier, air freshener, potpourri, add a few drops to a handkerchief and leave in your pocket to smell through the day, add drops to a vacuum cloth bag, add to floor washing water or dishwashing liquid.

More Uses

Aromatherapy Oil	2 to 4 drops in a diffuser, oil burner or vaporiser for a calming, perfumy/rosy/florally aroma.
Massage	1 drop per 20ml of carrier oil
Mix into	Soaps, washing liquids at 0.5% to 1%

Natural Occurrence in Australia

Mango Myrtle® trees naturally occurs in only a few hectares of lowland or floodplain country, in northern New South Wales. The tree is extremely rare, and Mango Myrtle® grows to a maximum height of 10 metres in the wild. High and regular rainfall with rocky and alluvial soils are its prime habitat.

Characteristics

Clear amber yellow in colour, watery consistency, the scent is of fresh green mango/lemony/citrus.

Extraction and Farming Method

Mango Myrtle® oil is extracted via steam distillation of the leaves and green branchlets. The tree is grown in plantations by Essentially Australia in northern New South Wales. Plantation trees are planted in rows, are kept to a maximum height of 4 metres, they are hand harvested and are then steam distilled immediately to maintain quality Mango Myrtle® essential oil.
No wild trees are harvested to make this oil.

History

Traditional Usage

Indigenous use of this plant, included regular eating of the raw fruit as a bushtucker or adding the fruit to water for a fruity flavoured drink or fruit was added to food for a fruity flavouring.

The Blue Lilly Pilly plant was used as a perfume, by rubbing the leaves on the skin. The leaves were also rubbed on the skin for an uplifting, refreshing or anti-depressive effect. There were other medicinal uses made of the plants fruits or leaves.

Early European Usage

Mango Myrtle® oil or any Blue Lilly Pilly oil has never before been commercially produced previously. The blue to purplish fruit is eaten occasionally by some people or made into jams, jellies and flavoured drinks, there are accounts of also wine being made out of the fruit.

Present Day Usage

Mango Myrtle® oil was exclusively launched by Essentially Australia 1st March 2022, at Tallow Beach, Suffolk Park, a home of a number of wild Blue Lilly Pillys.

Blend Mango Myrtle® Essential Oil with

Mango Myrtle® essential oil is a very balanced, ’round’ aroma and simply excellent on its own.

However you can try blending it with woody, spicy or citrus. Try blending Mango Myrtle® oil with Lemon Myrtle (sparingly), White Cypress Leaf, Eucalyptus Lemon Ironbark, a drop of Anise Myrtle, or woody oils like Blue Cypress or Sandalwood.

Precautions for use and proper use of essential oils

Read before use

Use essential oils with moderation and care. Essential oils are very powerful.
Essential oils should not be applied to the eyes, the eye contour or in the ears. In case of contact, apply a neutral vegetable oil and rinse with water. Consult a doctor quickly. Essential oils must be diluted for application to mucous membranes.
Always keep essential oils out of reach and out of sight of children. For their safety, never remove the dropper cap from the bottles of essential oils.
Some oils can be irritating or particularly sensitizing. The majority of essential oils are used diluted in a vegetable oil on the skin. We recommend that you always carry out a skin tolerance test in the crease of the elbow for at least 48 hours before any use on the skin, either pure or diluted. If you observe a reaction (redness, irritation, tingling, etc.), do not use the mixture.
The essential oils of Angelica, Bergamot, Celery, Lemon, Lime, Khella, Lovage, Tangerine, Orange, Blood Orange, Grapefruit, Tagetes, Fragrant Verbena and the oily macerate of St John's Wort can be photosensitive. After using these oils, do not expose yourself to the sun or UV rays for 8 to 10 hours.
Some essential oils can be irritating, particularly sensitizing, or can be toxic in large doses or over the long term: Yarrow, Garlic, Ajowan, Bitter Almond, Dill, Green Anise, Tulsi (Holy Basil), Tropical Basil, Copahu Balm, Bay St Thomas, Yellow Birch, Cinnamon (bark and leaf), Chinese Cinnamon, Caraway, Cedarwood, Cumin, Turmeric, Cypress, Tarragon, Eucalyptus Blue Mallee, Eucalyptus Blue Gum, Eucalyptus Peppermint Gum, Sweet fennel, Wintergreen, Clove (nail and leaf), Italian Helichrysum, Scented inula, Khella, Lantana, Laurel, Lemongrass, Lentisque pistachio, Lemon slime, Lovage, Magnolia, Lemon balm, Spearmint, St. John's wort, Nutmeg, Oregano, Parsley, Pine, Rosemary, Damask Rose, Balsam Fir, Pectinated Fir, Mountain Savory, Snakeberry, Tagetes, Annual Tansy, Turpentine, Thyme, Scented Verbena, Ylang Ylang. In general, we do not recommend the use of essential oils for pregnant or breastfeeding women, epileptics, hypersensitive people or people with hormone-dependent cancer, and more generally those with health problems. Unless medical advice is given, do not use essential oils for babies and children under 3 years of age. For children over the age of 3, use them only under medical supervision.
Injections of essential oils are strictly forbidden.
In case of respiratory allergies or asthma, avoid inhaling directly from essential oil diffusers.
Do not combine essential oils and medicinal treatments without medical advice.
Consult a doctor for any therapeutic indication or oral treatment. Essential oils must be diluted on a carrier such as edible oil, honey, sugar or neutral tablet for oral use.
In case of accidental ingestion, rinse the mouth with edible vegetable oil. Immediately contact an anti-poison centre and consult a doctor. Do not induce vomiting. If possible, swallow 1 or 2 spoonfuls of edible vegetable oil to dilute the essential oil.

How long will delivery take?

Products are usually dispatched 1 business day after your order. Express orders placed before 2pm AEST will be dispatched the same day.

Delivery to NSW usually takes 1 or 2 days and up to 7 days for WA.
Regional Australia delivery can take up to 11 days.

International order may take up to 2—3 weeks.

Short answer: Yes

Express Post orders must be placed before 2pm AEST to ship the same business day.

Please be aware that if your order contains a mix of products in Stock and on Backorder, by default your order will ship all at once when all products are available. Can you deliver to PO BOX address or Parcel Locker?

Short answer: Yes

If your order is over $120 and has free delivery, please leave a note if you prefer that we use Australia Post for your parcel.

Unfortunately Sendle cannot deliver to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers.

Sendle cannot deliver to Australia Post owned properties. This includes post offices, PO boxes, locked bags, parcel lockers or parcel collect locations. This is because Australia Post restricts delivery to these locations.

What happens if no one is home?

Sendle

If a receiver is not home to sign for a parcel, Sendle will attempt to redeliver the item for free. If the parcel cannot be delivered again, it may be left at one of 1'400 local collection points. Collection points may include newsagents or service stations. It’s important to us that every parcel completes its Sendle journey safe and sound, but we appreciate that some locations may not have nearby collection points to make this possible. If this is the case, Sendle may opt to have these parcels returned to the sender. We cannot be held responsible for a parcel returned to us.

Australia Post

If a receiver is not home, Australia Post may decide to leave the parcel in a safe place, unless a signature is required.

Australia Post may opt to bring the parcel to the nearest collection point (Post Offices).

It’s important to us that every parcel completes its journey safe and sound, but we cannot be held responsible for a parcel returned to us, or lost when marked as delivered in a safe place by Australia Post.

Can I return my order?

Please choose carefully as we can not accept returns, nor refund or exchange for change of mind.

Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility unless we have made a mistake with your order.

If you received the wrong products we will make it up to you as soon as we can. Please take pictures of your parcel as soon as you receive it. 48 hours after delivery we will consider that your order has arrived safely and cannot be held responsible for missing products.

Receiving a damaged product

If any item received is damaged, please contact us via email within 48 hours of delivery. Beyond this, we or the freight contractors cannot be held liable for damages.

In an unlikely event that your items arrive damaged, please email us with your full name, description of item that was damaged and images of the damaged goods as received in its box within 48 hours of delivery. We will lodge an insurance claim on your behalf and will send a replacement out or give you a refund as soon as possible.

We will not acknowledge any messages or images sent to any of our social media messaging tools as all correspondence and images have to be sent to our email address. Without pictures, we cannot lodge an insurance claim on your behalf and therefore cannot offer you a replacement nor be held liable for damages.

My order did not arrive, what can I do?

Please report the missing parcel to either Australia Post or Sendle depending on the courier that was used for your parcel. The tracking information is on your order confirmation email and you should have received tracking updates by emails directly from the courier. You will need to quote your tracking number in order to report a missing parcel.

If the carrier is unable to locate your items, please contact us and we will help lodge an enquiry for you.

Sendle will launch an investigation that should last about a week. During this time, unfortunately, we can not intervene. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, we may decide to send a replacement if the parcel is considered lost. Most parcels are recovered and delivered during this time though.

When you order a product on backorder, this means that we currently do not have the product in stock. We will endeavour to get it from our supplier as fast as possible. This will usually take a week, but can take up to 3–4 weeks.

If you would like the products in Stock to ship straight away, please place two separate orders, or contact us so we can charge you for two separate deliveries.

Please bear in mind that herbs are seasonal, we cannot force nature. Therefore there may be a possibility that your product will not be available for some time. If this is the case, we will get in touch and find the best possible outcome. Please understand that no refund will be issued within the first 45 days of an order being placed. Refunds for backorders will only be issued if we are unable to supply the goods within 45 days.

Can I order Bulk?

Most of our herbs and powders are also available in Bulk, usually in 250g, 500g or 1kg bags.

If you would like to order some herbs in Bulk, please contact us and we will get back to you with pricing and availability within a day or two.

Herbs are seasonal, so sometimes our suppliers can be out of stock for a while. That's why we'd rather take your bulk order manually, to really make sure we can fulfil it.

It usually takes between 2 to 4 weeks for a bulk order to be shipped out.
