Myrrh Essential Oil

Myrrh has been used for a very long time in the same way as incense. The Egyptians used it to embalm the dead and it was one of the components of Kyphi, a solid perfume that they burned in honour of the god Ra.
The Greeks made great use of Myrrh, even perfuming their wine with it. In the Bible, Myrrh is also one of the gifts brought to Jesus by the Three Kings. It is also known to be rich in anti-infectious and anti-viral properties.
