Pau d’Arco Bark
Pau d’Arco Bark has been used for 1000s of years by Brazilian Amazonian tribes. Many native South American peoples have prized Pau d’Arco as a cure-all, using it to treat a wide range of conditions. It increases red blood cells and the human immune response. It is widely used for fungal infections, and many parasitic infections.
Preparation
1/2 to 1 tsp per cup, simmer covered 10 minutes. Sweeten as desired. Take 3 times daily.

Precautions |
Absolutely avoid use in pregnancy.. Pau d’arco might slow blood clotting and could increase the chance of bleeding during and after surgery. Stop using at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery, and do not combine with anticoagulant or blood-thinning medications. |
