Schizandra Berry
In Chinese herbalism, the dried berries of Schizandra (Wu Wei Zi) are used as a tonic and astringent, primarily for the heart, lungs and kidneys. It is said to keep one from losing physical, mental and spiritual energy. Schisandra is used in kidney deficiency, with symptoms such as night sweats, chronic diarrhoea and urinary incontinence. It calms the heart in cases of palpitations, insomnia and dream-disturbed sleep.
