Stonebreaker Tea
Chanca Piedra
Chanca Piedra (Phyllanthus niruri) is a powerful medicinal herb from the Amazon rainforest. It has been used to treat kidney stones for generations in the Amazon and in traditional herbal medicine systems in South America. In fact, the name chanca piedra is Spanish and translates to “stone breaker” based on this long-standing effective use.
It is used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine to treat liver and gallbladder problems, including gall stones. It is known to lower blood pressure and stabilise blood sugar levels.
Modern trials have indicated that Stonebreaker may reduce levels of urinary calcium and kidney stone formation. This herb has a long history of use as a natural treatment for kidney stones.
